A healthy household meant back to my regular morning routine getting ready for work.  I turned on the WGN news as usual and began doing my thing.

And then I heard it! and then another..  They were music to my ears!!

There were regular commercials on the TV again- the primary elections are over!!

No more JB Pritzker shaking everyone’s hand

No more Jeanne Ives “protecting our speaker of the house Mike Madigan”

No more Daniel Biss and his kids in the public schools

No more talk about Mike Madigan’s cronies

No more Quame Raoul and the apartment he brought is kids home to

No more Bruce Rauner ads

No more 2006 taped phone calls to Rod Blagojevich…

I’ve heard/seen them so many of them I probably have them all mixed up..

I was SO Sick of them.

I know I know it is important who we elect and being a teacher in the union in a middle class family with a kid in public school and a pension I need to be aware of who we are putting in charge but it was getting crazy with the back to back to back commercials, over and over the same 9 commercials.

I guess it works for people who go blindly to the ballot and just pick a name they have heard 87 times that day but to me it just makes me crazy..

So this morning instead of that I got my “old friends” back
